The mysticism of the cabalistic underworld. Esoteric art in the northern settlements of Israel has long attracted admirers of various cultures. The old town of Safed, its picturesque quarters with winding streets and multi-level alleys. Here you can see the Old Testament elders in fur hats, felt hats, coats ... and right next to it - colorful outfits of immigrants from North Africa. Among the picturesque streets of the artists’ mystical quarter are several ancient synagogues with priceless Torah scrolls.

Today Safed is one of the 4 holy cities for the Jewish people. Among the likes of Jerusalem, Hebron and Tiberias, Safed is considered the youngest. The city is built on top of the mountains of Upper Galilee. From here, you can see a fascinating view of half the country. If you look to the southeast, you can see Lake Kinneret, known as the Sea of Galilee. If you look to the west, you can see the blue landscapes of the Mediterranean Sea, in the north - the snow-white peak of Mount Hermon. Safed’s pure mountain air, its mysterious spirit, mystical stories and completely unique buildings always attract poets and artists.

Similar to a cute European village, the neighboring Safed Rosh Pina is located at the intersection of several highways leading from north to south of the country. Trips from the Sea of Galilee, Safed, Nazareth and other cities in northern Israel will take no more than half an hour. Almost all the attractions in Roche Pin are in the old town. At every step there are galleries with paintings of local landscapes. Museums are the houses where the first settlers lived, and here you can get acquainted with their life.

The Rosh HaNikra Reserve is one of the most unique corners of the Mediterranean. It is located on the seashore near the border of Israel with Lebanon. It is famous for beautiful, unusual grottoes, from which a wonderful view of the sea opens. Translating the name of the place literally is not easy: “Nikra” – crack, cleft. Roche is the head, in the broadest sense, the beginning. Sea waves and rains have been blurring small cracks in these rocks for centuries. And so whole tunnels were formed. They were once noticed by the soldiers of Alexander the Great, when his army passed here after their conquests. According to legend, he ordered to dig for the passage a long tunnel in the mountain, which in the XX century was used for the transfer of English transport.Today the reserve is completely rebuilt for tourism. For example, for a convenient descent to the grottoes, a funicular appeared here. The darkest grottoes are lit up, and in some caves you can see how the color of the water changes during the day.
