About this offer

What to expect

I invite you to the Tallinn Town Hall, the only Gothic town hall preserved in the Nordic countries. The building is located near the central market square. Its basement was built in the 13th century, the first floor in the 14th and the second in the 15th century. It was here that the magistrate, who had ruled the city since 1248, sat. In 1530, the weather vane Old Thomas was installed on the tower of the town hall, which became a kind of symbol of the city.

On the tour you will learn the history of the town hall and visit the most luxurious rooms, including the burgher hall for receptions and celebrations, decorated with rich ornament and tapestries, and the magistrate's hall, where all city laws and court decisions were taken. It is decorated with paintings on biblical themes and medieval wooden carvings.

Right in the town hall is the famous tavern "Third Dragon", where you can eat after the tour.

Booking time in the town hall is necessary in advance.
