The Tara River Canyon is the second deepest in the world, one of the five national parks of Montenegro, undoubtedly the most beautiful of them!

If you haven’t seen the canyon, you haven’t been to Montenegro. In this tour we will make a circle across the country (about 400 km), but the trip will not be tedious – every hour we are waiting for stops in amazing places of Montenegro. I will show you places where the foot of an ordinary tourist has not set foot.

We leave early in the morning. Be sure to bring warm clothes – temperatures on the coast and in the mountains can vary. After 40 minutes we stop in a beautiful place with a view of the entire Budva Riviera.

Next, we pass Cetinje, the capital of Podgorica, make a stop at the canyon of the Moraca River.

We are going with a tour to the Orthodox monastery of Moraca of the 12th century.

We will make a stop at the waterfall "Montenegro tears", which was discovered and gave the name Vysotsky.

We pass the ski resorts Kolasin and Mojkovac, we enter the Durmitor National Park. We will walk on foot on the bridge over the Tara River, admire the beauty of the canyon.

25 kilometers from the bridge is stunningly beautiful Black Lake. The smell of needles in these places drives you crazy.It is there that the famous Black Pine grows, which gave the name to the country of Black Horus.

The name of the town Zabljak, translated as a frog, there we will try the national dish "Lamb under the sach", advise several restaurants where this dish is made homemade.

The inhabitants of the north of Montenegro differ from the coastal ones, their mentality, cuisine, clothes are completely different, they are not spoiled by tourism. From Zabljak we go through the Durmitor National Park to the Lake of Piva. I always love to see my tourists enjoy this beauty. Some people compare these places with the Alps or Altai and even with the surface of the moon.

After stopping at Lake Piva, we return by another road through Niksic, Shavnik and Podgorica.
