A snow-white mansion on a green lawn lined with palm trees - this is what the winter residence of Henry Flagler, a railway magnate, the founder of the world-famous Standard Oil company looks like. It was he who at the beginning of the XX century turned the East coast of Florida into a place of rest for the rich and famous. The building, which has 55 rooms, was built in 1902. In addition to the hostesses' apartments, living rooms, dining rooms, a luxurious ballroom, almost the entire second floor of the mansion was occupied by guest rooms equipped with the latest technology of the time. They are all open for inspection today. Mr. Flagler built this house as a wedding gift for his third wife, Mary Lily Kenan. They came here from New York for the winter. They were brought to the house in a personal car, which is now stored here, on the territory of the museum.

(3) St. Augustine. (2 nights before entering the city)

St. Augustine is the oldest of the existing cities in the United States.

The main attractions of the historic quarter are the oldest house built in 1700 and the oldest wooden school building in the United States. Less ancient, but no less interesting places in the city are two large buildings in the style of the Spanish Renaissance: the Lightner Museum and Flagler College. Now in the first is a collection of glass, crystal and porcelain, and in the second, in fact, an educational institution.However, the two bright buildings with towers, balconies and beautiful gardens were originally built by railway magnate Henry Flagler as hotels (they were called Alcázar and Ponce de León) for wealthy aristocrats.

(4) John Fitzgerald Kennedy Space Center (3 nights before the launch)

The space center is located on Merrit Island. From here, as well as from the nearby Cape Canaveral, American spacecraft are launched. All launchers can be seen during a bus tour of the cosmodrome. On the way, the driver plays the role of a guide, telling details about the space center. At each of the stops you can spend as much time as you want, and then just take the next bus and follow the route. The first stop is at the observation deck (or tower), from where the missile launch point is visible. It is a wide road, on which a special installation (it can also be seen) weighing several tons transports spacecraft from the prefabricated workshop to the launch point at a speed not exceeding 1.6 km / h. The second stop of the bus makes near the museum complex "Apollo-Saturn V".The third stop is a complex where American modules of the International Space Stations (ISS) are assembled. Here you can look at the sections of the ISS, exhibited for public viewing and assess the conditions in which astronauts have to live and work.

A visit to the Kennedy Space Center will give you unforgettable impressions and a lot of informative information. You can see rockets that flew into space, touch a real moonstone, meet with veteran NASA astronauts, get acquainted with the device of the International Space Station.
