Along the Loire, one of the most beautiful French rivers, stone castles lined up as guards of honor of extraordinary beauty, and each of them is history itself.

Chenonceau. Probably the most beautiful and “gentle” of all the castles of the Loire. Contested by Henry II's lover, Diana de Poitiers, and his wife, Catherine de' Medici, who saw dozens of kings and queens, famous rampant feasts and voluptuous court. Later, he worked here as a governess and wrote his books by Rousseau, and Voltaire and other celebrities came here.

The castle is open daily from 09.30 to 18.00 in winter and from 09.00 to 19.00 and until 20.00 in summer.

Chambord, a Renaissance masterpiece built by Francis I, completed by French kings as far as Louis XIV. The castle is located in a huge park surrounded by the longest wall in France. It consists of 426 rooms, 77 staircases, 282 fireplaces and 800 sculpturally decorated capitals!All this beauty was created for the beloved king. Moliere created his plays here. There is a version that Leonardo himself was the architect of this castle!

Amboise. The Royal Castle was the residence of the kings of France: Louis XI, Charles VIII, Louis XII, Francis I, and a "kindergarten" for the heirs of Henry II and Catherine de' Medici. This ancient medieval fortress has preserved only the walls that surround the modern castle.

World fame brought the city not only the castle, but also the famous Leonardo da Vinci, who spent the last years of his life here and rests in the chapel of the castle of Amboise.
