The Fjord Tracy Arm is located about 45 miles south of Juneau. The ship departs at 7:30am and returns at 6pm. The cruise takes a whole day. The ship leaves the center of Juneau, near the parking lot of cruise ships. During the tour you will see picturesque landscapes: a combination of mountains, waterfalls, glaciers and icebergs. At Tracy Arm, the ship will enter the bay and come as close as possible to the Sawyer Glacier. The ship will shut down the engines so you can listen to the crackling ice. Sawyer is an active melting glacier.

Pieces of ice the size of a small car break off from the glacier and crash into the water. Underwater icebergs float on the surface like giant submarines that rise more than 250 feet (83 meters) and then settle in the water like large, blue ships. An additional bonus of the tour is wildlife observation. The tour organizers do their best to find mountain goats, whales, bears, seals and birds for you. Tracy Arm is a summer residence for kaira pigeons, washing and Arctic terns. Tracy Arm is also a summer residence for hundreds of seals. Mountain goats are usually seen on rocky slopes in the glacier area.It is very likely to see humpback whales.
