What to expect
Los Glaciares National Park has been declared a natural World Heritage Site and named after its 13 glaciers. The most famous is the Perito Moreno Glacier, located at one end of Lake Argentino, 80 km from the cozy town of El Calafate.
The tour starts with a hotel in El Calafate. Arrival at Glacier National Park in 1.5 hours. Visit the observation decks overlooking the Perito Moreno glacier. On this trip you can get acquainted with a unique natural wonder, watching and photographing this natural sight as a glacier slides from the mountains into one of the canals of the lake, resting on the continental part, which is located on observation decks, where tourists look forward to the moment when huge pieces of ice break off and fall directly into the lake, showing noise, thunder, waves and of course the cries and delight of tourists themselves. There are also many species of birds in the park. Between the glaciers and the Patagonian steppe is an area of fertile land, where a forest grows, consisting mainly of various species of notophagus (part of the Magaeplane forests). In these areas live deer and ducks. After the observation decks you can have lunch in the restaurant. Then we take a boat trip, which opens a new view of the glacier, impressive in its size and beauty (1 hour).
