About this offer

What to expect

On December 5, 1933, President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed the 21st Amendment to the Constitution and uttered the catch phrase: “Now, I think, is the time to have a beer.” Now every year on December 5 at 21:00 (in honor of the number of the amendment) it is customary to raise glasses, celebrating the repeal of the law, which has ruined the lives of Americans for 13 years.

Even now, eight decades after the repeal of Prohibition, no one is in a hurry to close the secret bars where this very law was violated. Now in such places go in order not just to skip a hundred grams, but also to drink cheerfully and with fiction. Finding one of these bars is not easy. Instead of the front doors in such establishments – sliding walls, telephone boxes, mirrors, old slot machines. It's all part of the entertainment that precedes drinking. Plus – you need to reserve a place in advance, know the password, and then, as a rule, also wait in line.

Convinced of the unflagging interest in this topic, we take a tour of the Speakeasy bars. The tour is best conducted after 6 p.m.You can not only plunge into the atmosphere of ancient bars, keeping secrets of the secrecy of the Prohibition, but also try cocktails and drinks inherent in the times when only pharmacies kept the secrets of their preparation.

Many bars have jazz.

Children under 21 years old are not allowed to visit.
