What to expect
On this tour you will go to atypical America - the town of Santa Barbara is more like a European resort. No wonder this place is called the California Riviera for a comfortable climate all year round, a series of snow-white beaches, cozy houses with tiled roofs and incredible views of the Pacific Ocean.
On the way from Los Angeles you will see a picturesque panorama of the mountains and the Valley of Well-being. You will also stop in the aristocratic Montecito, where many famous personalities, including the Rockefeller family, built themselves luxury mansions.
Next, you will find the beautiful Santa Barbara promenade, walk along the ancient wooden pier Stearns Wharf and the green Pearl Chase Park, see the largest Moreton Fig Tree tree and the Dolphin Fountain.
Built in the 19th century, the pier offers stunning views of the St. Inessa Mountains, the Pacific Coast and Santa Barbara.
In the town itself you will see local attractions - the buildings of the City Hall and the Commandant's Office, the Santa Barbara Courthouse with a 24-meter tower, where we will climb to the observation deck and admire Santa Barbara from a bird's eye view.
You will see the Mission of Santa Barbara, which is rightly called the Queen of Spanish missions, and a historic fortress. You can feel the spirit of the first missionaries.
In Santa Barbara, you will also take a look at the bohemian corner of La Arcada, Downtown, walk down the street with Victorian houses and the historic street De la Guera, see the theaters of Lobero, Granada and Arlington.
Walking around Santa Barbara and exploring its ancient sights, you can forget about everything and completely immerse yourself in this measured atmosphere and Spanish identity with characteristic architecture. But there is still a lot of interesting things ahead of you.
Solweng Township
From Santa Barbara we will go to the Danish village of Solweng, which is located high in the mountains.
