The tour is perfect for parents with children aged 9–10 and older, couples, and groups of friends.

No prior fishing or snorkeling experience is required: instructors will conduct a detailed workshop on shore and accompany the group on the water.

Day 1 — Saturday, September 5

• 09:30–10:30 — Arrival at the Key Largo campsite, check-in, tent setup, and camp arrangement.
• 10:30–11:30 — Water safety briefing and workshop on locating and legally catching lobsters.
• 11:30–14:30 — Outing #1: SUP expedition, snorkeling, and lobster hunting.
• 14:30–16:00 — Return to camp, showers, lunch or a snack, and sorting the catch.
• 16:00–18:30 — Free time: relaxing by the shore, beach activities, or sunset SUP.
• 19:00–21:30 — Group BBQ dinner by the campfire.
• 22:00 — Quiet hours at the campsite.

Day 2 — Sunday, September 6

• 07:30–08:30 — Optional sunrise session on the water, coffee or tea, breakfast.
• 08:30–11:30 — Outing #2: exploring new shallow-water locations and honing skills.
• 11:30–13:00 — Return, packing the legal catch into ice chests, and breaking down tents.

What to bring

• a valid Florida Saltwater Fishing License and Spiny Lobster Permit for each participant not exempt under FWC rules. Requirements depend on age and residency; participants under 16 are exempt, but their catch counts toward the limit only if they are actively participating in the fishing.

Safety and FWC rules

Children may only go out on the water accompanied by their parents and wearing personal life jackets. Before departure, adult participants must sign a standard liability waiver regarding safety in open water.

The tour takes place during the 2026/27 regular season. We comply with current FWC regulations: the carapace must be larger than 3 inches and measured in the water; the daily limit in Monroe County is up to 6 lobsters.
